Kinetic Relief sculpture. Signal Passed at Danger.

08-Sep-2011

A linear grouping of four stanchions with two double sided kinetic elements. The kinetic elements were a response to the problem of wind loading on a planar element. The bearing axis is slightly off centre so rather than spinning the plane turns side on to the wind and reduces the chance of catastrophic overload, deflection from danger.

I see this work as essentially two dimensional, a large outdoor relief sculpture.
