A sculpture involving the viewer moving through the structure with sufficient duration to suggest narration. The narrative shifts depending on the viewer or group addressing the work. For Iwi it is the story of the battle between the old and the new, Nihotupu and Panuku. For Pakeha it is the reconciliation between James K Baxter and Collin McCahon. For children it is two giants fighting represented by the bridge stanchions, the deck promenade demonstrates reconciliation between the opposing forces and the two banks.
